A revolutionary way to print pictures without ink has been invented by a US company called Zink Imaging. You can visit there website at www.zink.com . It is a very interesting and very nice product. Small as a palm-sized camera, without ink or catriges, the printer technology includes only a couple of hundreds of small heaters , which turns the special plastic sheet of paper into a water-resistant photo that lasts about 10 years. The printer produces 20 (2x3 inch) images per charge.

The printer will cost about $200. Also by the end of this year Zink is about to release a $100, wallet-size, bluetooth enabled printer to go with the cell phone and a $200 camera with a built in printer. These products will use the same inkless technology.

Blogging became one of the most popular way of online content that is produced by users as opposed to traditional media producers such as broadcasters and production companies( user-generated website). WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time. You can download the blog software for FREE, but you have to get your own domain name. It runs on PHP server (FREE as well). It is one of my favorites. It is so frexible and FREE.

Blogger.com is one of the most popular free blog hosts.
Users can create a personal or a group blog for free - either by using their hosted service (BlogSpot) or one's own web host. I love it also, expecially the new version. They just got out of beta version. It is very cool and easy to use. It is completly FREE as well.

Live Journal is a popular FREE blog host is preferred by many users who enjoy a community-based blogging system. It is web-based and the sign-up process is quick and easy. There's also a premium version.

There are also another good blog applications but they do not offer a FREE version,like TypePad.com etc.

2007 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP

BMW's Mini brand has sold more than 800,000 of its cheeky little Coopers, so clearly auto journalists are not its only fans. And although it is as adorable today as it was when it launched in 2002, a new one is on its way for next year. Not just a refresh, this is a completely new design. Engines, transmissions, steering gear, brakes, and safety systems have all been redesigned from the ground up.
Not that you'd notice. At first glance, the Cooper looks just like the old one. It's instantly recognizable as a Mini because it retains all the telltale styling cues and proportions – from the impossibly short overhangs to the shape of the grille. Get out the measuring tape, though, and you'll find that this car is almost three inches longer than the last one.
The biggest changes, however, are hidden under that stubby little hood. While the two available four-cylinder engines haven't grown in size--displacement remains 1.6 liters--they've been rotated 180 degrees so that the exhaust now faces forward. And that's not the only about-face: both engines are now as sophisticated as the old ones were simple.
The base engine puts out 120 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque, up 5 hp and 8 lb-ft from the current model. The big news is that it uses BMW’s Valvetronic system, which gives the computer infinite control over both valve timing and lift, eliminates the need for a throttle butterfly, and improves fuel economy. Valvetronic also provides for better low-end torque without sacrificing power at the fun end of the tach.
The new Cooper S dumps last year’s supercharger in favor of a twin-scroll turbocharger putting out 11.6 psi of boost. It produces 175 hp, only four percent more than the current model, but torque increases dramatically. Mini claims peak torque of 177 lb-ft from a superlow 1600 rpm all the way to 5000 rpm. If the engine computer is feeling generous, however, it will grant you a few seconds of overboost, pushing that torque number to a more grin-inducing 192 lb-ft. With all that torque, the optional limited-slip differential seems like a good idea – especially if you want to be sure to leave two dark skid marks wherever you go. (Spinning just one wheel is embarrassing, don’t you know.)
Both engines are mated to six speed transmissions--manuals are standard with paddle-shift automatics as an option. Fuel consumption is decreased by up to 20 percent compared to the current Cooper. Part of the credit is due to electronic steering along with trick water and oil pumps that deliver only as much pressure as needed.
The new Cooper comes standard with ABS and stability control watching over the four-wheel disc brakes, and a tire pressure monitoring system that keeps its electronic eye on the sixteen- or seventeen-inch run-flat tires. If things go horribly wrong, six standard air bags (front, side, and side curtain) will team up with seatbelt force limiters to keep you safe.

2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Toned down from the wild Concept S show car that was seen earlier this year at Geneva, the Gallardo Spyder makes use of a powered top that stows under the engine cover and behind the passenger compartment. In case you invert the car, there is a pop-up roll bar and strengthened A-pillars. While the car was in the body shop, the Lamborghini engineers increased the 5.0-liter V-10's power from 492 to 512 hp. (All 2006 Gallardos receive the power hike.) The six-speed transmission has been recalibrated, along with the suspension and steering. Lamborghini says that the car will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 195 mph with the roof up. Topless, the car is 4 mph slower. The Gallardo Spyder goes on sale in Europe early next year, priced at about $200,000.

With buoyant sales being enjoyed in Europe, celebrations are underway in Brazil as the Italian company reaches it's 30th anniversary there. To mark the occasion, a new track-orientated prototype was revealed at the Sao Paulo Autoshow - the Fiat Concept Car Adventure. Quite which track they were referring to is not mentioned, closer to a Paris-Dakar racer instead with large arches, tall stance and what appears to be a rather capacious engine-bay at the rear. However, looks can be deceiving, the Concept Car Adventure is powered by a modest 167PS five-cylinder block. Further details are scarce, though it has been revealed it rides on 18 x 9.5in wheels with adjustable shock absorbers and all-round independent suspension, and that the color scheme of the exterior is continued inside.

Audi R8

Audi has unveiled the new R8 supercar, closely based on the Le Mans concept that was shown three years ago in Frankfurt. The two-seat car uses a shortened version of the Lamborghini Gallardo platform, and is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 using FSI technology first introduced by the A2.
Like the now-obsolete small car the R8 is also constructed of an aluminum space-frame, keeping weight down to 1360kg. This combines with 420PS to give a 0-60 time of 4.6s. Sales start early next year priced from US$132,000. Key dimensions are: length 4431mm, width 1904mm, height 1249mm.

The only foreign manufacturer to display a concept car at Auto China 2006 was Volkswagen, unveiling the Neeza crossover concept. As one of the first major overseas manufacturers to enter the Chinese market more than 20 years ago, it's evident that Volkswagen is again intent on leading the motoring trend in China by displaying a Coupe/Wagon CUV, with strong Chinese automotive styling flavor. Built on an extended A-platform - as used on the VW Concept A and Golf - Neeza was developed by the local VW design studio in Shanghai.The name Neeza comes from a Chinese folk tale of a little boy named Ne-Zha, who fought against the evil spirits with magic weapons, and VW claims "His unequalled will, his youthful and foresighted spirit and courage reflect the idea hidden behind the character and the name of the concept"Overall styling is sleek and extremely fast, with the proportion deceiving many people to a point where, until the unveiling of the vehicle on Saturday, many automotive designers actually thought Neeza was the brother version of the Audi Q7. However the Neeza is much smaller, lower and sleeker than the Q7, and displays virtually no characteristics of an SUV.Clad in a Flame Red body color, its proportion is very well resolved. And much like recent Volkswagen concepts, Neeza also displays restrained details where it makes clear that designers were intent on showing the overall surfacing of the vehicle, more so than the details. Apart from the front lower grille displaying the flowing ‘Oriental' line, they have managed exceptionally well in letting the details support rather than dominate the overall styling.What would have been a fine concept car was let down somewhat by the overall interior design, with an impression that the interior was almost an afterthought in the overall design process. The door trims and dashboard lacked the exaggerated tension, volumes and refined details that you would expect from a concept car.While there has been no official response from VW regarding future production plans, Neeza indicates we should expect a bright future for the region's automotive design in the future.

Peugeot 207CC

Following the 207 Epure concept shown at the Paris Motor Show, Peugeot has revealed the production version, the 207CC - though without the concept's fuel-cell powertrain. Succeeding the popular 206CC launched in 2001, the 207CC obviously doesn't differ much from the show car, which was the first model touched by Co-Director Peugeot Design Jerome Gallix. Replacing the fuel cell is a range of IC engines; two

gas and one diesel. All three motors have 16 valves

and 1600cc, the diesel producing 110PS and the turbos of the two gasoline options tuned for either 120PS or 150PS. Interpol joins investigation into killing of former Russian agent

Interpol has joined the investigation into the killing of former Russian agent Alexander Litvinenko, Russian news agencies reported Tuesday.
"Cooperation through Interpol channels has already started, as several countries are involved in this case," said Timur Lakhonin, the head of Interpol's Russia division, according to the RIA-Novosti news agency.
The investigation so far has pulled in witnesses in three countries: Britain, where Litvinenko fell sick and died after being poisoned with polonium-210, Russia and Germany. Some of the men who met with Litvinenko on Nov. 1 the day he is believed to have fallen ill traveled to London from Moscow and Hamburg.
The involvement of Interpol, the largest international police organization, should ease the way for investigators in each country to obtain evidence and testimony. Interpol, which has 186 member nations, coordinates cross-border police cooperation, reports AP.
British investigators on Monday questioned Andrei Lugovoi, a key witness in the killing, in the Moscow hospital where he was undergoing radiation checks, Russian news reports said. Lugovoi told the agencies that he had been questioned for three hours.
"I gave testimony exclusively as a witness. I was officially informed of that before the interrogation," the ITAR-Tass news agency quoted him as saying. "They made no charges against me."

Israeli officials rushed to rebut the statement released by the country’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert who acknowledged the presence of nuclear weapons in Israel. Olmert gave an interview to a TV channel shortly before his official visit to Germany. German journalists had every reason to make sensational reports based on Olmert’s remarks.
When speaking about the uranium-enrichment program conducted by Iran, Ehud Olmert said that Israel was included on the list of the countries that could be referred to as nuclear powers. Speaking in English in the interview, Olmert said: "Iran, openly, explicitly and publicly threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Can you say that this is the same level, when they are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel, Russia?" German reporters decided that Olmert confirmed the existence of the Israeli nuclear arsenal, albeit by implication.
Press secretary of the Israeli Prime Minister, Miri Eisin, and an official spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry, Mark Regev, stated that Olmert had been misunderstood. The Israeli officials reminded that Israel was still following the policy of nuclear uncertainty. To put it otherwise, Israel neither confirms nor rejects the existence of its nuclear arms. The officials also said that Ehud Olmert only named four democratic states which, unlike Iran, pose absolutely no threat to the world. USA develops unmanned shape-changing ultrasonic bomber plane to substitute aging warheads

Today when the international community is speaking about nuclear disarmament American scientists are trying their best to develop new and much deadlier technologies to substitute its aging warheads.
For years, the U.S. military has wanted a plane that could loiter just outside enemy territory for more than a dozen hours and, on command, hurtle toward a target faster than the speed of sound. And then level it. But aircraft that excel at subsonic flight are inefficient at Mach speeds, and vice versa. The answer is Switchblade, an unmanned, shape-changing plane concept under development by Northrop Grumman.
When completed (target date: 2020), it will cruise with its 200-foot-long wing perpendicular to its engines like a normal airplane. But just before the craft breaks the sound barrier, its single wing will swivel around 60 degrees (hence the name) so that one end points forward and the other back. This oblique configuration redistributes the shock waves that pile up in front of a plane at Mach speeds and cause drag. When the Switchblade returns to subsonic speeds, the wing will rotate back to perpendicular.

Smart plan. Now for the hard part: designing the thing. Darpa, the Pentagon’s way-out research arm, has coughed up $10.3 million to Northrop Grumman to produce a detailed blueprint by November 2007. A flying test vehicle is due about four years later. The initial concept calls for a single wing with engines situated in a pod underneath, along with munitions and surveillance equipment. This setup will enable the wing to pivot while the engines remain pointed in the direction the craft is traveling.
This is not the first attempt at an oblique-wing aircraft. SpaceShipOne creator Burt Rutan designed a switch-wing plane with NASA in 1979. But the slanted wings made the craft hard to fly—when the pilot pulled the nose up, the plane would roll to one side.
The Switchblade, however, is a good candidate to be an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The artificial intelligence used to control UAVs can handle the tricky flight dynamics, and a computer pilot doesn’t need to eat, rest, or go to the bathroom — useful for those 15-plus-hour missions.
If all goes well, Darpa says, a 40-foot-wingspan demonstration model could be ready by 2010, and a full-size Switchblade should be all set for a brawl by 2020.

Regulators Study Tighter Controls on Polonium 210

Nuclear regulators in Washington and abroad are studying whether to tighten security on polonium 210 in case terrorists seek the deadly material for so-called dirty bombs that spew radioactivity, officials and diplomats said in recent interviews.

The evaluation is based on longstanding fears about the possible terrorist threat as well as the polonium 210 poisoning that on Nov. 23 killed a former Russian spy living in exile in Britain and stirred public unease. British authorities traced the risk of radioactive contamination to a dozen sites around London and commercial jets carrying more than 33,000 people. The poisoning was an apparent first that caught the authorities by surprise.

Groups considering tighter controls include the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the United States and the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, which sets global standards for radiation safety. “There are no sirens wailing,” said a senior European diplomat familiar with the agency’s polonium 210 reassessment. “But there’s a sense that we need to rethink how it is categorized,” and thus controlled.

Officials and diplomats, some of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the delicacy of the deliberations, said the agencies were carefully monitoring developments in London and Moscow. Meanwhile, private experts called tighter controls a potentially important step for public safety.

“It’s very wise to put fairly strict limits on the commercially available amounts of polonium,” said Thomas S. Tenforde, president of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements, a Congressionally chartered group in Bethesda, Md., that advises the federal government on radiation safety.

ROME, Dec. 8 — Mario Scaramella first claimed to have been hit with five times the lethal dose of polonium 210, the radioactive substance that killed the former Russian spy Alexander V. Litvinenko. “I’m not in the best mood,” he said in an interview with Italian television from his hospital bed in London last month. Then two days ago, he walked out of the hospital with minute traces of radioactive poisoning but was otherwise perfectly fine.
It seemed a classic performance for Mr. Scaramella, 36, who has emerged as the oddest footnote in the mystery of Mr. Litvinenko’s death.
There are a few sure facts about him. On Nov. 1, the day Mr. Litvinenko is believed to have been poisoned, Mr. Scaramella and the former spy met at a sushi bar in London. And at the moment, Mr. Scaramella is not considered a suspect. Beyond that, it is hard to square his words about himself with whatever the reality might be.
He has claimed to be a professor at the University of Naples, which claims never to have heard of him. He was caught on a tape bragging that Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian prime minister, was considering him for a top job at the United Nations. He later had to admit that he had never met Mr. Berlusconi.

As a popular hip-hop disc jockey struggled to survive gunshot wounds, his fans poured out their anguish and prayers on the air and online.
Carl Blaze, born Carlos Rivera, was in critical condition early Friday at Harlem Hospital Center, according to the hospital. Police said he had been shot at least 13 times outside an apartment building near the Inwood section of Manhattan, and his jewelry had been snatched.
Blaze, 30, counts more than 2 million listeners on Power 105.1 FM, according to the station's Web site. He broadcasts on Fridays from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. and on Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and midnight to 2 a.m.

UNICEF: Death toll in Angola cholera epidemic reaches more than 2,500

More than 2,500 people in Angola have died of cholera since an epidemic broke out in February, UNICEF said Friday.

The agency is particularly concerned about the threat the epidemic poses to children under five, who make up about 35 percent of cases, UNICEF spokesman Michael Bociurkiw said.

Litvinenko's death mystery deepens as his associate lapses into coma

Five weeks after Alexander Litvinenko suddenly fell ill at the hands of an unknown poisoner, the riddle of his murder and the uneasy diplomatic stand-off that surrounds it grew ever more knotted in intrigue and tragedy.

As the former Russian spy's radioactive body was laid to rest in a north London cemetery, the authorities in Moscow announced they were investigating the attempted murder of one of his business associates.

Dmitry Kovtun, one of two Russian businessmen who met Mr Litvinenko on several occasions in London prior to his assassination, was reported to be in a coma in a Moscow hospital last night after testing positive for polonium-210.

Hitler race car could fetch $12 million

Designed by Porsche, the 485-hp Auto Union D-type was revolutionary in its day.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- A rare 1939 German race car commissioned by Adolf Hitler is expected to command the highest price ever paid for any automobile at auction, according to Christie's, which will conduct the auction in Paris in February 2007.

The car, one of five remaining "Auto Union D-Types," is expected to sell for as much as $12 million, said Rupert Banner, head of Christie's motor cars department.

1939 Auto Union D-type

In 1933, after becoming chancellor of Germany, Hitler offered 500,000 reichmarks for a company to design a race car to show off the nation's technological prowess. Originally, Mercedes-Benz got the nod. But Ferdinand Porsche, then an engineer working with Auto Union, which today is known as Audi, was able to secure some of that financing to build a revolutionary car he had designed.

That car was modified over the next few years to become the 1939 Auto Union D-Type.

SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- Yahoo Inc. announced its biggest executive shake-up in more than five years, including placing Chief Financial Officer Susan Decker in charge of ad sales in a move that may signal her anointment as successor to the company's top job.
Shares of Yahoo, which have struggled this year as the stock of competitor Google has flourished, fell 66 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $26.77 in early trading Wednesday on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
Under the overhaul announced late Tuesday, Yahoo vowed to rein in a sometimes-rambling product expansion that has bogged down its earnings growth and threatened its position as the Internet's most popular site as more buzz built up around upstarts like MySpace and YouTube.

Up to 33,000 British Airways passengers may have radioactive contamination

Two British Airways planes are to undergo further detailed examination after traces of a radioactive substance were discovered on board.

The traces of a nuclear material believed to be polonium-210 were found on BA aircraft used on the London-to-Moscow route. A third aircraft was grounded in Moscow last night while tests were carried out to see if it is also contaminated.

It is understood that Scotland Yard ordered tests to be performed on the planes as part of its investigation into the movements of individuals who were in London around the time Mr Litvinenko fell ill on 1 November.

Up to 800 people were on board the planes during the four flights under investigation between 25 October and 3 November, and a further 30,000 passengers and 3,000 staff are estimated to have travelled on the 221 flights the aircraft made before being grounded, the Independent reports.

Up to 33,000 British Airways passengers are being told to seek immediate medical advice after the investigation into the death of former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko uncovered traces of radiation on two commercial planes.

Doctors who have failed to diagnose former Russian Prime Minister Yegor Gaidar's mysterious illness say they suspect poisoning but are unable to detect a toxic substance, an aide said Tuesday.
Gaidar, a 50-year-old economist who served briefly as prime minister in the 1990s under President Boris Yeltsin and is a leader of a Russian liberal opposition party, began vomiting and fainted during a conference in Ireland on Nov. 24, and was rushed into intensive care at a hospital.

Spokesman Valery Natarov told The Associated Press doctors treating Gaidar in Moscow concluded his condition "did not correspond to any disease known to medicine and a toxic factor was possible."

Natarov said Gaidar was taken a clinic in Moscow 60 hours after falling ill, which made it impossible to trace any possible toxic substance which usually remains in the system for up to 48 hours, the AP said.

Gaidar was discharged Monday and was feeling "quite well," but would remain under the doctors' supervision, Natarov said.

Gaidar fell ill a day after ex-KGB officer and Kremlin critic Alexander Litvinenko died in London after being poisoned with the radioactive element polonium-210.

Nine British investigators arrived in Moscow on Monday. The investigators are involved in the inquiry into the death of Alexander Litvinenko, the former officer of Russia’s Federal Security Bureau (FSB), who died in London on November 23. Litvinenko is claimed to have been killed with polonium-210, a radioactive element. The investigators are planning to interview several Russians who met with Litvinenko in London at the Millennium Hotel on November 1, the day Litvinenko fell ill.
Cobra, the British governmental committee comprising representatives of Home Office, Department of Health, Department of Transport, the police and national security agencies, said Sunday that the major threat linked to traces of polonium found in London was over. Speaking to Vremya Novostei, a spokesperson for British Department of Health confirmed that a few locations across London had been checked by specialists for possible radioactive contamination. The locations were found safe. Three British Airways planes and London’s Arsenal stadium were among the locations cleared by British authorities last week. A group of Russians which met Litvinenko on November 1, had arrived in London earlier on that day to watch a soccer game between CSKA Moscow and London’s Arsenal. British authorities have also cleared the locations visited by Mario Scaramella, an Italian researcher, who met Litvinenko on the day the day he fell ill. The locations include a hotel near London and two easyJet planes that Scaramella flew to Britain to meet Litvinenko and back to Italy. According to statement released by London’s University College Hospital, Scaramella had been exposed to a “significant quantity” of polonium-210 but was showing no poisoning symptoms. “Mr. Scaramella is feeling well,” the hospital said in a statement. Litvinenko’s widow is reported to have no health problems either.
However, the results of a postmortem examination conducted on Litvinenko’s body Friday have not yet been announced. There are reasons to expect them to be classified. According to The Observer, Litvinenko may be eventually transformed from the victim into one of the accused. The newspaper published a comment by Julia Svetlichnaja, a Russian academic currently with the University of Westminster, who said that Litvinenko had told her of plans to make tens of thousands pounds by blackmailing high-ranking officials of the Russian security agencies and wealthy businessmen. Svetichnaja wrote that she had received more than a hundred of e-mail messages from Litvinenko earlier this year. She said Litvinenko claimed access to classified FSB documents. According to her, Litvinenko suggested she cut a deal with him “to make money.”
